He wants to be a protector, but his courage is mostly theoretical and often accompanied by full-body trembling and at least 6 feet of distance from the perceived “threat.” Think “security system with anxiety.” Monty loves other dogs and truly needs a confident dog friend in his future home. Another dog helps him feel safe and grounded. He is also cat-friendly and horse friendly. Walks and car rides? Hard no.
