About Bastrop
Say hello to our very own "royalty" Philip Henri, Baron de Bastrop! This handsome young boy landed on the euthanasia list, together with his two sisters, at the shelter in Bastrop TX. Hence the name. Based on his dashing good looks, our best guess is that young Mr. Bastrop is most likely Anatolian Shepherd, or perhaps Kangal mix? He has an estimated birthday of 2/4/2024, and since he and his siblings were surrendered to the shelter by their previous family, we think that should be very close to his actual birthday. Bastrop weighed about 40 lbs when he got his rabies vaccination at 4 months old, about 70 lbs at 7 months old, and 96 lbs at 9 months old, so it's reasonable to guess that he will mature into a big boy -- probably 110+ lbs by the time he's an adult.
