About Rowen (long-term resident/sponsored fee)
Rowen originally came to us on 4/23/2022 from our friends at the Rescue Network after he was rescued from a reservation in South Dakota. He is a pit bull/German shepherd mix who is now around 5 years old. He has always been a volunteer favorite! He was in a home for some months in 2025, but it did not work out, even though his adopter tried very hard with him. Rowen bonded very closely to her and was not tolerant of her husband or outsiders. However, we are not giving up on Rowen as we do believe that his perfect fit is out there, somewhere. His adoption fee is sponsored. Rowen has had basic training and enjoys a good, brisk walk and playing fetch. He's looking for an adult only home without a lot of foot traffic. He needs someone who is willing and able to provide him with the exercise he needs, along with consistent training and boundaries. He is strong and active. He's a happy and…
