About Birdee
Say hello to our hopeful Miss Birdee Pruitt. This pretty girl landed on the euthanasia list, together with her two siblings, at the shelter in Bastrop TX. (Her name comes from the Sandra Bullock character in "Hope Floats," which was filmed in and around Bastrop.) Thankfully, when we made a post about these pups, our friends Molly and Chris stepped up to pull them to safety and foster them. Our best guess is that Birdee is most likely Anatolian Shepherd mix, but the set of her ears tells us that there may be a non-LGD breed somewhere in her family tree. She has an estimated birthday of 2/4/2024, and since she and her siblings were surrendered to the shelter by their previous family, we think that should be very close to their actual birthday. Birdee weighed about 78 lbs at 1.5 years old, so it's reasonable to guess that she could top out around 85 lbs when she's fully mature. In her…
