Meet Mama Zena — The Playful, Loving Shepherd Mix Zena is a gorgeous 1–2 year old shepherd mix, weighing about 45 lbs, with a heart as big as her energy. She is smart, eager to please, and already has some great basics down — she’s potty trained, leash trained, knows “sit” and “lay down,” and has excellent recall. This fun-loving girl is all about fetch, squeaky toys, and anything that bounces. After a good play session, she turns into a total snuggle bug who wants nothing more than to curl up with her humans. Zena is currently in foster care with one of her daughters and a senior dog, and she plays beautifully with both. She has shown a little bit of resource guarding, but with consistency, structure, and reassurance, she continues to improve every day.
