About Hank (Pollux)
Say hello to Hank, originally named Pollux when we rescued him in April of 2021. He was one of three dogs who were roaming in East Texas and stopped for a while at a sheep farm. The LGDs protecting the sheep didn't appreciate unknown dogs hanging around, so we were called in to help. We picked up two handsome boys plus a beautiful girl, and we named them Castor, Pollux, and Gemini. We took care of their veterinary needs and put them to work in our pastures. All three dogs were adopted as working livestock guardians. Hank was adopted to protect chickens and other fowl. Pollux looks to be an Anatolian Shepherd mixed with either Akbash or Great Pyrenees. He had a good life for 5 years, but when circumstances changed and the family no longer wanted to keep Pollux, they honored their adoption contract by calling us.
